The purpose of the Award of Merit is to honor one trustee in each of ISBA's eight regions who have made outstanding contributions to education excellence and who have demonstrated effective educational leadership.

20 Years of Service

Each year ISBA recognizes those extraordinary individuals who have given selflessly 20 years or more to the students and education system of Idaho.

 

Please take a few moments to inform ISBA about your 20 year+ veteran board member(s).

Master of Boardsmanship

In an effort to recognize board members who put forth extra time and effort to strengthen their boardsmanship abilities, the Idaho School Boards Association has developed a recognition program for board members’ attendance and participation at education events/activities sponsored by ISBA/NSBA (National School Boards Association). One hundred (100) points per year are needed to earn this award. (October to October).

Citizenship Award

We are now accepting nominations for the ISBA  "Citizenship Recognition Award."

Two honorees who have given outstanding, ongoing support to public education will be chosen;

•  An Idaho certificated educator, and

•  An Idaho volunteer or non-certificated individual.

 

This support can be found in many forms:  Someone who has given of themselves during the everyday duties encountered with their job; A volunteer in the classroom;  Someone that may have given a monetary grant to the district; or has served as a volunteer coach or assistant; or a volunteer bus driver or chaperon.
