Interest Based Bargaining (IBB) Training Program:

The IBB process for negotiations is based on the principles of focusing on the parties' issues and interests, not on personalities and positions.

Successful use of the IBB process requires joint training, commitment to process, and the help of a skilled facilitators.

A network of skilled facilitators for school districts and local associations wanting to use the Interest-Based Bargaining (IBB) process was developed by the Education Association Coalition (EAC).  The EAC is a collaborative effort of the Idaho School Boards Association (ISBA), Idaho Association of School Administrators (IASA), and Idaho Education Association (IEA).

Please contact the ISBA office (local 854-1476, toll free 866-799-4722) if you desire to contract a facilitator to assist your district with Interest-Based Bargaining.

Facilitator Costs:

$70 per hour plus negotiated supplies, materials, and travel expenses.
