In September of 2003, the ISBA Executive Board voted and approved an Affiliate Membership for Idaho public charter schools.  An affiliate Membership provides public charter school board directors a non-voting membership in ISBA and access to a package of programs and services.  The cost of membership varies depending upon the student enrollment of the charter school.

• Annual Convention.  The ISBA Annual Convention is a valuable professional development opportunity for board members and administrators.
• Policy Services.  A primary ISBA function is to support and improve policy making by Idaho schools and boards.  The policy services staff provide reliable, authoritative policy assistance and information to help school boards draft and maintain policies.  Call ISBA for more information regarding the Policy Update Service.  Many of Idaho's charter schools are members of the Policy Update Service and receive quarterly updates to assist them in keeping their policy manuals accurate and updated!
• Charter School Model Policy Manual.  ISBA is pleased to announce the release of its Charter School Model Policy Manual and the Policy Update Service available to Charter School Affiliate members.  Many of Idaho's charter schools have purchased the ISBA Model Policy Manual.  If you would like more information on the benefits of this Manual, please contact ISBA.

•      The Slate, published five times a year, provides an in-depth perspective of issues all board members need to understand and offers a quick summary of current news and upcoming activities.
•      The Policy Update Newsletter, published quarterly to keep members abreast of current policy changes.  As an Affiliate Charter Member, you receive quarterly newsletters from ISBA's Policy Update Service.  The newsletters identify current trends in school policy with a list of sample policies and updates that will be released.  By subscribing to the Policy Update Service, you will receive the quarterly release of those sample model policies and updates.
•      The Esquire, ISBA's legal newsletter, published quarterly, to keep trustees current on emerging legal issues in education.
•      The ISBA Salary Schedule.  The 2007-08 Salary Schedule is complete and we have began work on next year's.  Each year, ISBA compiles a Salary Schedule containing certified and classified salary schedules from school districts across the state.  If you would like to receive a copy, please contact ISBA.  The cost for this publication is:  $45.00 for members & affiliate members; $55.00 for non-members.
