Free Legal Helpline
Districts are provided unlimited phone calls to the ISBA Legal Helpline. Legal Counsel associated with ISBA will answer questions that take 20 minutes or less to research. Simply call our toll-free number, (866) 799-4722 and we will provide you with further information.
Legal Research Services
ISBA provides members legal research at reduced fees for issues that are above and beyond the 20-minute phone call limit.
Legal Publications
The ISBA Esquire Newsletter is published quarterly. The Esquire provides timely and up-to-date information on case law and issues pertinent to education and school governance. The publication is provided at no cost to members. Non-members may purchase a subscription to the Esquire for $150/year.
Workshops and Board Training
Education Law experts provide workshops at ISBA's Fall Convention. However, if your district would like to schedule an on-site legal workshop or board training, ISBA can bring the experts to you! Consider having other districts in your area join in the training and share the cost.
