Education Committees Hearing Public Testimony This Friday
This Friday, members of the House and Senate Education Committees have set aside time to take public testimony from anyone interested in traveling to the Capitol to share their thoughts. The hearing begins at 8 a.m. in the Senate Auditorium, located in the west wing of the basement of the Capitol.
Details on the event are available at the Idaho State Legislature website: http://www.legislature.idaho.gov/sessioninfo/2013/standingcommittees/sed...
Remarks will be limited to three minutes to allow everyone a chance to speak, and anyone who testifies is asked to address their comments and respond to any questions from lawmakers by beginning with “Mr. Chairman and members of the committee…” Testimony will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis, so citizens are encouraged to arrive early and sign in. Anyone who cannot travel to Boise to attend the hearing may submit written testimony by sending an email to either sedu@senate.idaho.gov or hedu@house.idaho.gov and writing “listening session” in the subject line.
