Scholarship Auction

The Idaho School Boards Association (ISBA) has been providing scholarships to children and grandchildren of Idaho public school board members for over 15 years. In August 2006, the scholarship trust program was created and in 2007, ISBA received word that the scholarship trust would be recognized as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) foundation. The purpose of creating this trust was to provide an ongoing pledge to advance excellence in Idaho public education. This program was established to help encourage and promote the attainment of higher education goals for the children and grandchildren of public school board trustees and charter school board members.

Since 2005, the scholarship program has awarded over $196,000 in scholarships to over 430 recipients. Scholarship recipients can use these funds for any cost associated with higher education, such as tuition or books.

Every year, at the ISBA Annual Convention, the Scholarship Trust holds a Scholarship Auction. This year’s Auction will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024. We encourage all attendees to donate items for the Auction. Your donation will help ISBA raise funds for student scholarships. If you are struggling with ideas, here are a few:

  • Items that represent your region
  • Items that represent your school or district
  • Items that were made by students
  • Local items from your community
  • Holiday themed items
