State Required Board Literacy Intervention Training
The Idaho School Boards Association encourages all school board members to complete the Literacy Intervention Training requirement within the first 90 days of their service or as soon as possible if they have not met the deadline. This training equips school board members with the necessary skills to effectively contribute to literacy enhancement initiatives in their schools, meeting the rigorous standards set by the Idaho Department of Education.
- Literacy Intervention Training is a legal requirement, per Idaho Code 33-1809, for each school board member in the State of Idaho.
- Attendance at this training can be fully reimbursable by the State Department of Education if the board has not already used its developmental funds for the year and if it is attended live.
