Literacy Intervention Training

The Idaho School Boards Association invites all board members to participate in our annual Literacy Intervention Training Sessions. This training is designed to equip school board members with the necessary skills to effectively contribute to literacy enhancement initiatives in their schools, meeting the rigorous standards set by the Idaho Department of Education.

  • Literacy Intervention Training is a legal requirement, per Idaho Code 33-1809, for each school board member in the State of Idaho.
  • Instruction will be provided by Lisa Colón Durham and will be live-streamed through Zoom on May 16, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (MDT) and on May 17, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (MDT).
  • Attendance at this training can be fully reimbursable by the State Department of Education if the board has not already used its developmental funds for the year and if it is attended live.
