This momentous occasion invites us to reflect on our country’s history, honor the contributions of all Americans, and envision the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.
Throughout the coming year, ISBA will proudly join countless organizations, government agencies, and enthusiastic citizens in commemorating this historic milestone.

#MyAmericanStory Campaign: As our nation prepares to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026, ISBA is launching a special yearlong social media campaign: #MyAmericanStory. From July 2025 through July 2026, we’re inviting students, board members, educators, and community members to share—in their own words—what being American means to them. Whether it’s a memory, family tradition, or a lesson that’s shaped your perspective, we want to hear your story. Submissions will be featured on ISBA’s social media channels, in our monthly newsletters, and in our quarterly SLATE publication. To share your American Story with us, complete the form linked here.
