IFPC & ALC

The Idaho Forest Products Commission (IFPC) supports balanced, responsible management of Idaho’s economically vital public and private forests through information and education programs. The cornerstone of our education efforts is Project Learning Tree (PLT). Designed for teachers and others who engage with PreK-12th grade youth, PLT helps students learn how to think, not what to think, about the environment.  Through standards-aligned materials, innovative professional development for educators, and a wealth of IFPC resources, Idaho PLT helps educators meet ever-changing needs and make learning fun, while advancing environmental literacy, stewardship and career pathways using trees and forests as windows on the world.

The Associated Logging Contractors of Idaho was formed in 1966 by loggers and log truckers for the purpose of developing programs that are instrumental in helping members to reduce costs of operation and to craft creative solutions to problems confronting the industry. Our goals are to define the issues, provide solutions and build coalitions to implement those solutions. We now have over 530 owner/operator companies throughout Idaho and are considered the voice for the industry in Boise and Washington, D.C. The ALC today continues to be the leader on the industry priorities of both logging safety and workforce development.
