ISBA Education Foundation

Purpose: Public schools are the hub of many Idaho communities – places where children learn, families connect, and communities flourish. The ISBA Education Foundation is committed to strengthening and supporting these vital centers of community life by investing in educational excellence, expanding opportunity, and building partnerships that empower every student and every school to thrive.

To further this mission, the Foundation provides grants to support the professional growth of Idaho public school board members. These grants help offset the costs of educational programs, workshops, conferences, and services that enhance board members’ knowledge and effectiveness in their roles.

Additionally, the Foundation supports training and development opportunities for school district and charter school staff, including business managers, board clerks, and other key personnel – ensuring the entire educational team has the tools and support needed to succeed and positively benefit students throughout Idaho.

Vision: With the Foundation’s support, Idaho school board members govern and oversee our public schools with excellence. Equipped with the knowledge and skills for effective leadership they are informed, supported, and strategically focused to ensure Idaho public schools across the state maximize their capacity for improving student success.

Mission: Provide support for learning and development that supports school board members and staff with the knowledge and skills to govern and oversee school systems for improved student success.

Focus Areas:

  • Support innovative educational programs and activities for Idaho public school board members, administrators, and staff.
  • Enhance student success in Idaho’s public schools by providing development opportunities for board members, administrators, and staff.
  • Create and provide opportunities for Idaho public school staff not otherwise funded or available.
