This is the former "New Board Member Workshop". To help districts reduce travel expenses, we are coming to you! This year we are offering 3 dates in 3 locations - Boise, Post Falls, and Rigby!

This is an excellent opportunity for board members, superintendents, and clerks of all experience levels to learn more. Some of the workshop topics will include:

Roles & Responsibilities
Board Ethics
Effective Meetings
Basic School Finance
Board Policy
Board Scenarios (chain of command, handling patron concerns, confidentiality)

ISBA Releases Two New 10-Minute Trainers

ISBA has released two new 10-Minute Trainers - Dealing With The Media and The Board Clerk: Duties & Responsibilities.

The purpose of the 10-Minute Trainers is to provide school boards an opportunity to engage in continuing education at board meetings. These 10-Minute Trainers as well as many others can be found on ISBA's website under Board Development / Board Training Tools or by selecting the link below.

ISBA Releases 2009-2010 Salary Schedules

Each year the ISBA compiles salary schedule information from Idaho school districts and creates the ISBA Salary Schedule book. A copy of the Salary Schedule is mailed to the superintendent's attention of every member school district. If you would like to purchase a Salary Schedule, please contact Heather Gustafson at the ISBA Office.
