ISBA’s 2015 Legislative Platform Established

Trustees from around the State gathered in Boise on Friday November 14th at ISBA’s Annual Business Session. The Business Session is the most important event of the year for the Association because, through the resolution process, it is the process by which ISBA’s Legislative Platform is established. This year, there were eleven resolutions total, including one that came from the Floor. Of those eleven resolutions, nine passed and two failed. The two that failed to gain a majority vote were the removal of the limitation on the amount of sick leave that staff can transfer between districts and the local option sales tax resolution that was brought from the Floor of the Business Session.
