Board Development

The Idaho School Boards Association provides school board members with the information, development, and support needed to serve their district or charter school. Developing highly trained and effective board/superintendent-charter school administrator teams can positively impact student achievement.

The Legislature appropriates $6,600 per school district or charter school each fiscal year to be used specifically for board and superintendent/charter school administrator learning. ISBA has board development options available to best meet your needs. Contact ISBA for more information.

Board Self-Assessment

The school board self-assessment, based on ISBA’s School Board Standards, has been updated and is available online.  The assessment provides an opportunity to improve how the board works.  Skillful facilitation of the review can result in a discussion that focuses on setting goals and identification of potential areas for growth. ISBA staff are available for workshops to help with the review of the assessment and development of goal areas.

CUSTOM WORKSHOPS – Don’t see exactly what you are looking for? ISBA provides customized sessions to meet the Board’s needs.
