ISBA Announces Misty Swanson as New Executive Director.
The Idaho School Boards Association Executive Board is thrilled to announce the appointment of Misty K. Swanson as the Executive Director. Misty will step into the shoes of retiring Executive Director, Karen Echeverria. Misty brings over 16 years of experience at the ISBA, predominately in the role as Chief Deputy. The Executive Board appointed an ISBA Executive Director Search Committee, who conducted a national search over the month of June. “Misty’s experience and knowledge of ISBA is already an excellent asset to the Association, and we will build off of the great legacy that Karen Echeverria has already put into place for us”, said Jody Hendrickx, ISBA President and trustee from St. Maries School District.
Misty was raised in Grand View, Idaho and is a graduate of Rimrock High School in Bruneau. She has a B.A. in
Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University. She resides in Boise, Idaho with her husband,
Alan, and their two daughters Ashley and Danica.
“I am so excited and honored to continue working with ISBA members,” said Swanson. “The sustainability of our Association is crucial so that our members are equipped with providing the best education for the students in their communities.”
Swanson will assume her Executive Director role effective immediately.
